    The author exposes the federalism of Italian antifascist Silvio Trentin. Verri shows how Trenitn's thought fits well in the political and cultural context of the thirties: Verri explains the close links, the similarities and then the differences between the individual federal theory and those of other democratic and socialist antifascists (Rosselli, Lussu, Caffi, Gorni ...). Finally the essay analyzes Trentin's influence on the Italian situation of war and post-war.
