    Surgimento y evolución del terrorismo yihadista en Irak tras le invasión estadounidense del país en 2003

    Irak has been confirmed as one of the main points of interest and worry for the international security agenda since the U.S. invasion to the country in 2003 due to that the magnitude, complexity of the development and scope of its conflict influences in a prominent way at the regional security and consequently, at the international level. After the U.S. invasion to Irak the 20th March 2003, a deepening of the ethnosectarian violence and the establishment of the jihadist terrorism in Irak (that didn´t exist in the country before the invasion) were produced. Those elements made the national and regional security notoriously worse because of the Iraqi geostrategical relevance. The proclamation of Irak as a jihad land (understood on its bellicose interpretation) converts the country into the destiny of thousands of international fighters with the risk that they decide to export the jihad to their country of origin and other regions.
