    Política judicial en la Venezuela post-Chávez

    This paper reviews the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Venezuela´s Supreme Court that have had the greatest political influence in the last sixteen months, taking into account three fundamental moments: The constitutional issue of President Chávez's inauguration in light of his absence due to health problems; the verification of the permanent absence once his death was declared and the celebration of a presidential election on April 14th 2013; and, finally, the social upheaval and imposition of political sanctions to opposition leaders during 2014's first quarter. The conclusion of this study points to show the Constitutional Court as an active political agent in the national political course through their decisions in contexts of high polarization and social unrest.
