    During the negotiations towards the new European Cohesion Policy (within the 2014- 2020 Programming period framework), César Colino, Ana Carmona, Angustias Hombrados, Encarnación Murillo y Jorge Tuñón coordinate the report "Las Comunidades Autónomas frente a los retos de la Política de Cohesión Europea en la Nueva Europa ampliada: Capacidades y Estrategias". The research points out the challenges of the Spanish "Autonomous Communities" dealing with the European Regional Policy despite an unfavorable context. Indeed, the last European Union enlargements or the economic and financial crisis at world scale constitute (at current) decisive and negative factors from the Spanish regions standpoints.
