    As has been the case in other federations, and due to increasing demands for coordination and effective provision of public policies, in the Autonomic State, more and more horizontal collaboration mechanisms, both formal and informal, have flourished over time between executives at different levels, but also between legislatures and other regional bodies and party organizations. After describing this phenomenon as being usual in other federations, this article describes some recent findings on the various formal and informal horizontal relationships that have developed at the executive and legislative levels of the Autonomic State and their possible causes and determinants.
