The Dilemma of Niger-Delta Region as Oil Producing States of Nigeria
    in Peace, Conflict and Development , Volume 16, Issue 6, November ,  2010 ,  110-126
This paper x-rayed the dilemma of Niger-Delta Region as oil producing states of Nigeria. By extension, the criminal neglect of the entire region was highlighted, and the various approaches to the de-development of the region were stated. The impressionistic efforts made by the Federal Government of Nigeria to ameliorate the problems of the region were identified. Thereafter, the paper posited a 12-stage strategy that could be adopted to solve the problems of the region with these strategies broken down into three phases of implementation. The paper concludes that the implementation of these strategies would bring succour to the people of the region and thereby extricate them from their present extreme poverty level.
